What causes furballs?
Cats are avid groomers and seem to spend hours preening and licking themselves, such is the image conscious feline. Unfortunately this usually means that they end up swallowing a lot of loose fur which accumulates in their stomach to form matted lumps called furballs.

These are usually either vomited out or emitted with their faeces. Problems arise however if the cat's digestive system is weak or if their nutrition is inadequate as the furballs may remain inside the cat and act as a cork causing a number of problems including constipation, recurrent vomiting and a build up of toxins. (Not a pleasant scenario for any cat).

The Natural Way
If your cat suffers from hairballs, then it is important to treat the condition holistically. Regular grooming and a natural, organic diet with adequate fibre are vital components in a hairball management programme. Remember, cat's need exercise too, bring out the catnip mouse and the feather tickler.

Use herbal remedies and dietary supplements that are specifically aimed at maintaining bowel and digestive health, reduce reliance on dried and processed food, provide lots of fresh water and include roughage and fibre in your cat's diet.

As part of a holistic approach to treating your pet, natural herbal remedies and dietary supplements also help to build and strengthen your pet's immune system, encourage the elimination of toxins, and generally improve the overall health of your animal.

How has PetAlive FurBall Dr. helped others?
"We have tried everything to help our cat with furballs - expensive diets, cod-liver oil, medicines from the vet, you name it. This is the only product which has brought relief. We haven't had a problem in ages."
- Grateful owner

"Since beginning on the FurBall Dr. we have seen far less throwing up and she seems to be able to eat normally again. Thank you for all the assistance!"
- Thea

"About once every two or three weeks we used to have problem after problem with our cat. Being Persian, she swallowed a lot of fur and the vet explained that this can build up in her stomach and cause a blockage and constipation. Your FurBall capsules are very easy to give to her unlike other pills and we know the early signs now and make sure she gets them for a few days every time which really does the trick. We have also found your Muscle and Joint Capsules helpful for our German Shepherd. All our thanks for what you are doing for the animals!"
- Tomas

How do I use PetAlive FurBall Dr.?
Cats are notorious for fighting anyone who presumes to try and push a tablet down their throats (well - wouldn't you?). Many cat owners have learnt this the 'hard' way! PetAlive understands that cats do not like to be subjected to such indignities. Presented in convenient capsule form, FurBall Dr. capsules may be easily opened and the contents mixed with food or a treat (of course!).

Dosage: 1/2 capsule twice daily for 10 days followed by 1/2 capsule once a day as a maintenance dose for cats who are prone to furballs

Caution: Safety during pregnancy and nursing has not yet been established.

How long until I see results?
An initial 10 day course is recommended to cleanse the system. Thereafter a maintenance dose will help to keep your cat free of furball associated problems such as retching, constipation and digestive discomfort.

How long will a bottle last?
One bottle of FurBall Dr. will last 2 - 3 months.

Cathy Samuel is our friendly PetAlive product consultant! Cathy has many years experience working with animals here and overseas. She now employs her love of animals, great and small, to the PetAlive family. She hopes to make pet owners aware of the benefits of natural remedies and support naturally healthy, naturally happy pets.
    Cathy’s Tips:

  • Having your sleep interrupted by the sounds of your cat retching up yet another ghastly furball on your favourite cream carpet is enough to drive any cat owner to distraction. And certainly the distress that it causes your feline companion is cause for concern. By using PetAlive FurBall Dr. in conjunction with a balanced lifestyle, furballs can become a thing of the past.
  • Make sure that your cat has plenty of clean, filtered water. Cats can be fussy drinkers and may only want to drink from a running tap, out of your glass of water or from rain puddles – (such is the finicky feline).
  • Ensure your cat is eating a balanced, high quality diet with plenty of raw and unprocessed food, (preferably organic), and avoid onions as they can be toxic to animals.
  • Use Immunity and Liver Support capsules to boost your pet's immune functioning and resistance against disease and infection.
  • Enhance the functioning of your cat’s digestive system with a course of PetAlive Digestive Support.
